I was amazed at the ancestry information Your Family Your Stories obtained for me - especially as I hadn’t been able to do it by my own efforts. With minimal input from me, he was able to go back several generations and trace my forebears as they travelled across the United Kingdom and beyond. Not only was the information clearly presented it was, incredibly, backed up with images of birth, marriage, death certificates and other material from various archives which he had been able to access. They uncovered some family history which was unknown to me and was very poignant - including a story about two great-uncles who had died in service during the First World War. One had been killed in battle at Ypres and the other in a notorious and tragic train crash near Gretna – known as the Quinten Hill disaster. They showed me images of their memorials in Belgium and Edinburgh and I now intend visiting both. As if this wasn’t enough, I was completely blown away when Graeme showed me images of the wills they had written before going into battle. They are pleasant people to work with and have a real aptitude for this type of work and I have no hesitation in recommending their services.
